Welcome to Freebie Friday! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the promotion of A Card a Day thus far. Like Jennifer mentioned yesterday, you have until 5:00 p.m. (EST) today to order this fabulous new book and receive free shipping! Why not get a head start on your Christmas shopping!
Speaking of Christmas, it will be here before you know it. I’ve already spotted twinkle lights hanging from several houses in my neighborhood. My philosophy is if you can’t beat them, why not join them? Why not get your holiday cards made and out of the way?
If you need some inspiration for all those cards you intend to send out, A Card a Day has plenty of designs to get you in the ho-ho-ho spirit. The best part of this book…when it’s January and you’re stuck in your house waiting for Valentine’s Day to roll around, this book will keep you company and remind you that every day is the perfect day to create a handmade card.
If you’re one of those people who loves to make “Just Because” cards, A Card a Day is laid out just like a calendar – all the major holidays are covered, but there’s also plenty of designs for those days in between when you just want to say “hi” or “thinking of you”. In fact, Wendy Sue Anderson, the mastermind behind this book, designed the lead project for each of the 12 months. What do you think of her Fall Blessings Card? This is the lead card for November.

Fall Blessings Card by Wendy Sue Anderson
Have two birthdays and a thank you card you need to send out in November? These are the card designs for Nov. 1, 2 and 3.

Birthday Wish Ticket by Sherry Wright; Offbeat Birthday by Courtney Kelley; and Newsprint Thank You by Dawn McVey
Are you liking what you see? If so, take advantage of our limited time offer of free shipping when you purchase A Card a Day. Hurry because this special offer is only good through 5:00 p.m. (EST) today. Click HERE to reserve your copy!
Wanna try your luck at winning a free copy of A Card a Day? Leave a comment telling me what time of the day you feel the most creative. Morning? Mid-Afternoon? Night? Very Late Night/Early Morning? I’ll pick three random winners to receive a copy of Paper Crafts latest and greatest book. All comments must be received by midnight (MDT) on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Happy Friday!
Kelly
P.S. It’s time to announce the winners of Maren Benedict’s Photo Cards post! Here they are in no particular order:
1. cjs (Nov. 4, 1:36 p.m.)
2. Shawna (Nov. 4, 2:31 p.m.)
3. Bernice (Nov. 4, 8:23 a.m.)
Congrats, winners! You’ve each won a copy of Paper Crafting with Photos! I’ll be contacting you shortly to get your mailing addresses. Thanks to all who left comments!
P.P.S. For those of you who went to our online store and purchased A Card a Day, you might have noticed that shipping charges were added to your order. Even though it’s showing up on the bill, the backend system recognizes the “free shipping” code that’s been put in place. Rest assured that you won’t be charged for shipping. If any of you have avoided buying A Card a Day because of this issue, I’m happy to report we have extended the free shipping offer through 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, Nov. 9!

I feel most creative in the late morning, after I’ve had my morning coffee and gotten the kids off to school.

I don’t really have a specific time of the day, because different things inspire me. (For example, I was watching my favorite soap one day, and I loved the color combination of one of the character’s living rooms!! That is on at 2 PM here, but I am a (very early) morning person.) However, at 3:45 pm when my boys are getting off the school bus, there is too much craziness to do anything else!!
Thanks for the oppportunity to win!

Love these cards!! I feel most creative in the morning – today I got up at 6 am, before my little girl woke up, and started a card!

I find that I create most during the early afternoon, when the kids are at school. However, I’m most inspired late at night and have to draw my thoughts before I’ll forget them!! Thanks for the chance to win!

I am creative late at night/early morning…which means less sleep the times I get mojo to create and get up and go to work (school) at 7:30 am even if I went to bed at 2 am…..Thanks for the chance!

Though I could make cards all day long, my favorite time is in the morning. It’s hard to do with my little boy running around, but the few minutes I can catch here and there are usually my most creative. By the evening, I’m unfortunately too pooped!

My creativity seems to be on tap in the mid mornings. That isn’t the time I always get to make cards, but seems to be the time when I can get some ideas rolling! I’d love to win a copy of the book. Thanks for that chance.

I’m most creative around 10:00 at night. Of course, that’s when I’m about to go to bed, so I stay up while I have my mojo going and then am a bear the next day!

My heart just did a flip when I saw my name – then I had to go back to the other post to make sure it was me! Thanks for the prize! And I feel most creative early in the day when the sun’s shining bright, but I usually don’t get to sit down and actually make something until after my son’s asleep.

I always craft in the EARLY morning and sometimes the mid afternoon. I can’t make a card in the evening for anything. The energy is sucked right out of me.

I am best in the morning because I am a morning person. But rarely get the chance to craft in the AM. So, I usually craft in late afternoon to night. I fit it in when I can mostly.

I feel creative all the time but the only time I feel relaxed enough to sit down and do anything is in the evening after my kids are in bed!

My most creative time of day is 9pm to 11pm. That is when I have quiet time, and the girls are sleeping soundly.
Hugs, and have a great weekend,

I find I am most creative at night, once the kiddies have settled into bed. Unfortunately that is also when I am most tired… so most times the creativity doesn’t get fulfilled with an actual project

I usually catch my second wind late at night. That’s when I have time to sit and play with fabric and card supplies. I like to do the thinking and planning at night and the creating during the day.

I’m a night owl scrapper. I work full time so the only time I have left is late night after the kids go to bed. That’s when I get all my creative energy out.

I think I am most creative either mid afternoon or late at night when the house is quiet–only problem is when I get my mind wrapped around a project it hard to let myself fall asleep so I am sometimes up really late.

I go in spurts. Sometimes it is late at night, and sometimes I will wake up with the creative juices flowing. Either way, I love writing down my ideas in a notebook so that way I won’t forget them later when I have time to create!

(sigh) I want this Kelly. I am most creative right after lunch (naptime for the baby!), but most of my ideas come to me while I’m lying in bed at night. That’s why it takes me an hour to fall asleep.

I’m most creative at night or late at night, especially when I’m the only one still awake. I like my sleep too much to be creative in the morning.

I feel the most creative at night. I love to put in a movie and listen to it while I create. I can hardly stand just sitting there and creating, so I multi-task with the movie in the background. It may not be for everyone, but it certainly helps my creativity!

I am generally a late night crafter. Once my toddlers go to bed I can concentrate and be more creative.

My creativity just happens when it happens! I try to sit down in the morning while the kid spends his wake up time with his cartoons… But then I also try to sit down with the crafts when he goes to bed for a nap or at bed time. It just all depends on my mood when creativity will strike! Love the example cards today, and what a fun book!

I love the idea of this book. 365 days of inspiration is amazing. It varies for me, but I’m probably most creative in the afternoons or later at night. Thanks for the chance to win!

LOVE the cards! CUTE fall card!!! I feel most inspired at night because that is when the kids go to bed and i get to actually think and create without interruption.
It’s bad sometimes because i have a hard time turning off my brain when i go to bed!! But i really enjoy that time to have some “me” time.

Thank you for offering this giveaway! The book is so exciting! My most creative time is in the morning before my mind gets filled up with daily responsiblities…Saturday mornings are my favorite, although sometimes this turns into Saturday afternoon and long into the evening! Thank you again!

I’m most creative in the late afternoon. I’ve gotten all my “have to” stuff done and I can just bury myself in my papers, turn the music up high, and work and work until my stomach tells me it’s time to cook dinner!! But I love to grab time wherever I can. I’m so into card making now that if a day goes by that I don’t get to make at least one, I’m sad.

OH for me its ALL day.. Its like I’m wired w/mojo all day
I could be playing with my little girl and all of a sudden her tea pot will look like a good color combo.. or we are playing with the blocks and they look like a good sketch.. Its too funny sometimes.. I can get inky anytime of day.. thats how I know my mojo isn’t up and running like it should if I didn’t get inky that day

The urge to create can strike me at any time. I’ve been known to take office supplies at my job and turn out a quick gift. And it is not unusual for me to get up at 3 or 4 in the morning to work on something that’s popped into my head.

I love creating late morning after I’ve had breakfast and done the early morning household chores. Of course, I’m not always on “schedule”, so I end up making cards late at night and then thinking about re-doing them when I can’t get to sleep

I am an afternoon crafter, with most of my best stuff coming later in the day. I seem to spend the mornings on the compy getting things done, but also gathering inspriation at each of the places I go. then it is time to get busy crafting!
turn on some tunes, fill up the coffee cup, and off I go!

I’m usually feeling more creative during the day, when the beautiful Californian sun is shining through my windows. But I also work a full time job, so it can be difficult trying to make things in the evening when start to feel groggy.

Being creative would be a stretch to what I do! LOL I’m the type of person who needs to see a project or card, in order to do my best work. This book would be perfect for that. I’m a night person but the time I like to make cards the most is right after dinner. My belly is full so my mind is ready to go.

Most creative time usually ends up being very LATE at night after everyone has gone to bed and it is MY TIME in our house. Coffee, Soda, and sugar usually help the formula for my creativity to start showing up BUT having my good friend sitting next to me pretty much guarantees a great time of scrapping or cardmaking!!!! I WOULD SO LOVE TO WIN THIS NEW BOOK!!!!!! Can’t wait to start thumbing through it and start trying some new looks on my cards!

I don’t have a specific time of day, but I do have a specific place I guess you could say. I work Wednesday thru Saturday 12:30 hours per day and I ALWAYS come up with ideas when I am at work, on my way to work, or on my way home, then on my days off I do the projects that I have come up with. I learned a long time ago to carry a notebook or pad with me to work everyday. Thanks so much, Paula Horak

I’m get pretty creative when the house is quiet, I have nothing else pending and no demands. Late fall & winter, especially being a farm/ranch wife, is the time when I can get so much more crafting done.

I am usually in the crafty mood at night time. I craft in the basement and my Husband stays down there and watches TV so I don’t get lonely. I hate being in the basement by myself for a long period of time:)

Papercrafts is the only mag I have a subscription to still, I have cancelled all the others. And with things like this…this card a day is exactly why I love paper crafts. I love making cards! Christmas time I make about 300. This would help in making the cards! Really want this, hope lady luck is on my side!

My husband works a 2nd job from 11:00 P.M. until 5:00 A.M. so my creative juices kick in around 11:30 P.M. The house is quite and I just seem to “think” up ideas better. I love making cards and everyone of them MUST be different. Cards, are MY THING.

My favourite time to make cards is during the afternoon, with the sun shining. But I’m happy to be at craft desk really any time – including the middle of the night occassionally when I can’t sleep!

I don’t have a particular time of day that I’m more creative, but once I get inspired, I can’t wait until an opportunity comes up that I can sit down and create. I usually have to wait until a weekend to my crafting though, but I do plan one Saturday a month just for card making.

It never fails that I’m most creatively thinking while in the shower, be it morning, afternoon or evening. I don’t know how many ideas have popped into my head while showering. I usually have to get out, get dressed
& go sketch…so when the time is right to actually craft I can get right to it!

What a great publication! I think I get my best work done at night but these days I’m too tired from running around after my kids that I don’t really do any crafting at night. So the only time I get is afternoon, which is better light-wise… and those afternoons seem to be far & few between!

I’m very curious about this book! Inspiration can be hard to find, but there are also times I’m in the mood to make a card and have to think of a reason! As far as time of day, there’s not one special time that works more than another, but there are definitely days I wish I had no other responsibilities so I could ‘create’ all day!

My most creative moments are right before I lay my head on my pillow
I like to look in at all my scrapbook supplies before I go to sleep (a guilty pleasure) and then I start brainstorming which makes me get up and play around with my supplies organizing and laying things out so I can make a card or finish a scrapbook page.
I usually finish my thoughts the next night when I get dinner all dones and my boys are in bed!

I love your magazine and have subscribed for several years. I can’t say that I have a particular time of day when I feel most creative. My craft space is limited and I have to share it with my daughter, so sometimes it seems like more work to get ready to scrap then it is worth. Someday I will have my very own space.

I don’t consider myself a morning person. I usually wake up between 6-7 AM and snuggle on the couch with my dog while consuming two large mugs of coffee before I become human. But… lately my most creative time of the day is first thing in the morning. I wake up with ideas and barely get one cup of coffee in because it gets cold while I’m playing with paper. Thanks fo the opportunity to win this awesome book!
